Madridjoya: 75 Years of Success with an Edition That Set Impressive Records. And It’s Already Looking Ahead to 2027

The premier event for international fine goldsmithing, jewelry, and watchmaking concluded with overwhelmingly positive results. For four days (September 24–27), Hall 3 at IFEMA MADRID served as the beating heart of the industry, drawing over 7,300 trade visitors—an increase of nearly 20% compared to the previous year—and featuring more than 300 brands and companies from over 20 countries.
One of the key factors in its success was its strategic positioning on the global trade show calendar. By avoiding overlap with other major international events, Madridjoya has solidified its role as the leading annual trade show, attracting a growing number of international buyers and new exhibitors. The atmosphere of great commercial dynamism was met with enthusiasm by participants, with nearly all of the new brands having already confirmed their intention to return for the next edition.

The event served as the backdrop for the debut of the Madridjoya Awards, an award established with the support of the Spanish Jewelry Confederation to honor the figures who have shaped the industry: Professional Career, awarded to the Aguilar de Dios family for their extraordinary intergenerational contribution; Artistic Mastery, awarded to Isidoro Hernández for excellence in craftsmanship; Product and Process Innovation, awarded to the Gold&Roses brand; Business Development and Commercial Strategy, awarded to the Joyerías José Luis chain; and the Madridjoya 2026 Honorary Award, presented to Pedro Pérez, founder of Grupo Dúplex, for a lifetime dedicated to promoting the jewelry industry in Spain.
Madridjoya also offered a rich program of meetings, roundtables, and workshops focused on training, new trends, and the challenges of the contemporary market. Among the key players in the cultural agenda were the National Reference Center for Jewelry and Goldsmithing (through the Art and Talent program) and the Spanish Jewelry Confederation.

Significant attention was given to the tradition of Córdoba, which took center stage at one of the first major industry events following the European recognition of the PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) for Córdoba jewelry—a quality label that opens up new and important market opportunities for “Made in Spain” products. The event also served as an opportunity to celebrate historic milestones in the industry, such as the centennial of the Madrid Association of Commercial Agents and the contribution of the Association of Designer Jewelry (AJA).
Building on the results achieved and the growth of its international profile, the organizers have already officially announced the dates for next year. Madridjoya will return from September 23 to 26, 2027, once again at the IFEMA MADRID exhibition center.
