Quando i fiori di ciliegio cedono il passo alle nuove foglie è un momento di grande poesia che Grand Seiko ha saputo trasferire sui quadranti della Collezione Heritage.
Il 62GS a carica automatica, lanciato nel 1967, esclusivamente in Giappone, segnò una pietra miliare introducendo quei codici estetici distintivi propri della casa orologiera, tra questi il vetro, come il modello originale, montato direttamente sulla cassa senza alcuna lunetta. Oggi è uno dei modelli più apprezzati della Collezione Heritage e si presenta in una nuova interpretazione da 38 mm, per la prima volta in oro giallo 18 carati. Il nome, Sakura- Wakaba, è ispirato proprio a quel breve istante in cui il rosa dei petali si fonde con il verde del nuovo fogliame, ‘posato’ sul quadrante di un leggero verde dai riflessi dorati.
Con cassa alterna lucidatura Zaratsu e finiture satinate, ha un cuore Hi -Beat a 10 alternanze al secondo. Il calibro 9S85, movimento automatico con riserva di carica di 55 ore e un’alta frequenza di 36.000 alternanze/ora, è realizzato presso il Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi, e garantisce un’eccezionale precisione. L’impiego delle leghe Spron per la molla di carica e la
spirale, da una meticolosa lucidatura dei pignoni e dall’utilizzo della tecnologia MEMS* (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems, tecnologia di produzione di semiconduttori altamente avanzata) per la
realizzazione di due componenti essenziali quali la ruota di scappamento e l’ancora.
Il segnatempo è completato da un cinturino in pelle di coccodrillo marrone con fibbia ad
Ardiglione, anch’essa in oro giallo 18 carati.

Grand Seiko Sakura-Wakaba: Japanese Spring with a Heart of High Precision
When cherry blossoms give way to new leaves, it is a moment of great poetry that Grand Seiko has skillfully captured on the dials of the Heritage Collection.
The self-winding 62GS, launched in 1967 exclusively in Japan, marked a milestone by introducing the watchmaker’s distinctive aesthetic codes, including the crystal—like the original model—mounted directly onto the case without a bezel. Today, it is one of the most popular models in the Heritage Collection and is presented in a new 38-mm interpretation, available for the first time in 18-karat yellow gold. The name, Sakura-Wakaba, is inspired by that brief moment when the pink of the petals blends with the green of the new foliage, “set” against a pale green dial with golden highlights.
With a case featuring a combination of Zaratsu polishing and satin finishes, it boasts a Hi-Beat movement operating at 10 vibrations per second. The 9S85 caliber, an automatic movement with a 55-hour power reserve and a high frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour, is manufactured at the Grand Seiko Studio Shizukuishi and guarantees exceptional accuracy. The use of Spron alloys for the mainspring and the
balance spring, meticulous polishing of the pinions, and the application of MEMS* technology (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems, a highly advanced semiconductor manufacturing technology) for the
production of two essential components: the escape wheel and the anchor.
The timepiece is complemented by a brown alligator leather strap with a
pin buckle, also crafted from 18-karat yellow gold.
