JGW: AI Makes Its Debut at Asia’s Leading Jewellery Show with the New Exhibitor Finder

From 14 to 20 SeptemberJewellery & Gem World Hong Kong (JGW) will return to AsiaWorld-Expo, reaffirming its position as Asia’s leading B2B jewellery marketplace. The event will bring together more than 3,000 exhibitors from over 40 countries. One of the key innovations for this year’s edition is Exhibitor Finder, a new artificial intelligence-powered tool introduced by Informa Markets to enhance the visitor experience by recommending exhibitors that best match buyers’ interests.

The exhibition represents a key moment for the global jewellery industry to identify emerging trends, define purchasing strategies and gain insight into the forces that will shape the market through 2027. This comes at a particularly challenging time, marked by rapid change and uncertainty, as highlighted by Celine Lau, Director of Jewellery Fairs at Informa Markets.

“Like many other industries, the jewellery sector is undergoing profound transformation, driven by geopolitical uncertainty, growing attention to sustainability, digital innovation, the development of artificial intelligence and changing consumer behaviour led by younger generations,” she said. “Our platform enables the international jewellery community to understand these changes, translate them into business opportunities, build new connections and turn future challenges into drivers of growth.”

“The scale of our event remains remarkable despite the challenging environment facing the industry,” added Allen Xiang, General Manager for Jewellery. “But JGW is much more than a sourcing event—it’s a place of discovery. We bring together buyers who are ready to do business in Hong Kong, a city that has long been a global trading hub. It is this combination that makes JGW a truly unique and successful international event.”

The 2026 edition will once again be organised across two exhibition venues.

From 14 to 18 SeptemberAsiaWorld-Expo will host three exhibitions dedicated to precious materials: GemstonesDiamonds & Fine Gems, and Pearls+. These sections have traditionally been home to the show’s most prestigious pavilions, including the Diamond Pavilion, one of the world’s largest exhibitions devoted exclusively to diamonds; the Fine Gem Pavilion, showcasing top-quality gemstones; the Gemstone Pavilion, a key destination for loose coloured stones; and the Pearl Pavilion, featuring an outstanding selection of pearl varieties, from Akoya, South Sea and Tahitian pearls to the rarer Conch and Melo pearls.

From 16 to 20 September, the second phase of the event will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, focusing on finished jewellery, technology and packaging solutions. Among its flagship exhibition areas are the CORE Pavilion, showcasing the excellence of Hong Kong’s jewellery industry; the Premier Pavilion; the Fei Cui Gallery; the Antique & Vintage Jewellery section; the Designer Arena; and numerous themed exhibition zones.

Running concurrently with JGW will also be Asia’s Fashion Jewellery & Accessories Fair – SEASONS | Autumn, dedicated to fashion jewellery and accessories, giving visitors the opportunity to explore both fine jewellery and products aimed at the fashion retail sector during the same visit.

An extensive programme of awards and educational initiatives will further enrich this year’s edition.

The Gender-Fluid Coloured Gem Jewellery Design Challenge will showcase the creativity of students and professional designers through projects centred on coloured gemstone jewellery. The winning concepts in the student category will be turned into finished jewellery pieces and unveiled during the exhibition.

Young talent will also take centre stage through the NextGen Coloured Gem Excellence Awards by JWA 2026, recognising professionals under the age of 45 who are driving the industry’s evolution through innovation, education and new market strategies.

The programme will also feature GEM+ 2026, an international forum exploring the key issues reshaping the jewellery industry, from the evolution of social commerce and sustainability to generational succession in family businesses. Another highlight will be Sublime Shine 2.0, an immersive exhibition celebrating the art of precious metal craftsmanship through live demonstrations and technical presentations.

The educational programme will be completed by the Knowledge Sessions, a series of seminars led by international experts offering market intelligence, economic insights and practical strategies to help companies navigate the industry’s evolving business landscape.
