Il cuore del design è un ipnotico gioco. Intorno a un disco fisso in madreperla, un anello esterno prende vita a ogni movimento del polso, ruotando liberamente. Su questa giostra preziosa si alternano 12 rubini e 12 diamanti taglio brillante, incastonati tra i motivi a “X” in oro giallo 18 carati.
I rubini segnano anche un ritorno alle origini, un omaggio agli orologi da bavero e da tasca del XIX secolo custoditi negli Archivi Tiffany.
Dietro la fluida rotazione dell’anello si nasconde un’architettura micro-meccanica complessa, che richiede 25 ore di meticolosa lavorazione artigianale. Ogni singolo punto croce in oro viene fuso in stampi millimetrici, lucidato a mano e montato per incastonare le gemme.

Those yellow gold cross-stitches embracing the precious stones were a poetic nod to his family’s roots as leaders in the Alsatian textile industry, and today, that symbol of love—which “guards and protects” what is most precious—breaks free from the stillness of a piece of jewelry to dance around time.
Thus was born the new Sixteen Stone Mother-of-Pearl Ruby, a limited-edition timepiece that blends Swiss haute horlogerie with the Maison’s masterful goldsmithing.
At the heart of the design lies a mesmerizing interplay. Surrounding a fixed mother-of-pearl disc, an outer ring comes to life with every movement of the wrist, rotating freely. On this precious carousel, 12 rubies and 12 brilliant-cut diamonds alternate, set within “X”-shaped motifs in 18-karat yellow gold.
The rubies also mark a return to the brand’s roots, paying homage to the 19th-century lapel and pocket watches preserved in the Tiffany Archives.
Behind the ring’s fluid rotation lies a complex micro-mechanical architecture, requiring 25 hours of meticulous craftsmanship. Every single gold cross stitch is cast in millimeter-precise molds, hand-polished, and assembled to set the gemstones.
The magnificence continues on the 36-mm white gold case, which is literally covered by a “storm of light”—the 366 brilliant-cut diamonds set using the refined snow-setting technique (for a total of 2.9 carats). Even the hidden details tell a story, such as the caseback engraved with a radiating motif that reinterprets Schlumberger’s famous Floral Arrows brooch, illuminated by a constellation of diamonds.
