Gens Aurea Begins Its Journey Toward a Stock Market Listing
The company, operating across five European countries through eight brands, aims to strengthen its visibility and growth through access to the capital markets.
With €836.3 million in revenue in 2025 and more than 11 tonnes of gold handled during the same year, the Group has filed a prospectus with CONSOB for approval as part of the process leading to its stock market listing.
“We believe that a stock market listing represents the natural next step for Gens Aurea, reflecting the company’s growth journey and our confidence in its future. It will enhance the Group’s visibility as a key player in the recycled gold sector, strengthen brand awareness, and create a broader base of long-term shareholders,” commented Iñigo Barcaiztegui, Chairman of Gens Aurea.
The company operates through four business lines—gold buying, retail jewellery, investment gold, and buy-back services—which position Gens Aurea among the leading players in the European recycled gold industry. The Group operates through eight brands: OroCash, Luxury Zone, GioiaPura, Alfieri & St. John, OroCaja, Super Efectivo, OuroCaixa, and OroCash Invest.
Gens Aurea holds a leading position in both Italy and Spain, markets characterised by a highly fragmented competitive landscape consisting largely of small independent operators. The Group also maintains significant positions in other European markets, including Portugal, Austria, and Switzerland.
Chief Executive Officer Fabio Godano stated:
“We have built a unique platform in the European gold and precious valuables market, becoming the largest operator in the recycled gold sector in Europe. Our platform combines an extensive retail presence, industrial expertise, digital capabilities, and a rigorous compliance framework. We expect the strength of our brands, the quality of our service, and our ability to outperform in a highly regulated and fragmented industry to support our growth and profitability, enabling the Group to play a key role in the consolidation of its market.”
