A partire dal 2 febbraio e fino al 4 dicembre p.v. (o fino ad esaurimento fondi) è possibile presentare domanda per accedere ai finanziamenti previsti dal Fondo Europeo per le PMI. Questo è un’iniziativa della Commissione Europea, gestita dall’EUIPO, per aiutare le piccole e medie imprese con sede nell’Unione Europea a proteggere i propri diritti di proprietà intellettuale.
Il Fondo mette a disposizione diversi voucher che possono essere utilizzati dall’impresa per richiedere il rimborso per varie attività nell’ambito della PI, tra cui le domande di deposito di marchi, disegni e modelli o di brevetti. Per i marchi, disegni e modelli, il voucher, del valore massimo di € 700, assicura il rimborso fino al 75% delle tasse relative al deposito a livello UE o a livello nazionale e al 50% di quelle relative al deposito extra-UE.
Per i brevetti, il valore massimo rimborsato è di € 1.000, per la copertura fino al 75% delle tasse relative alla relazione di ricerca di anteriorità realizzata o coordinata dall’U.I.B.M. o di quelle per la pre-concessione di brevetti (deposito, ricerca ed esame), concessione e pubblicazione per la protezione nazionale in uno Stato membro dell’UE.
COME PRESENTARE LA DOMANDA
Per presentare la domanda occorre, qualora non si sia già in possesso di un account, registrarsi al sito dell’EUIPO (www.euipo.europa.eu/it).
Con tale account si accede al portale dedicato al Fondo per le PMI (https://euipo.europa.eu/sme-fund-2026/user/login?destination=/home) per presentare la domanda che interessa (marchi, modelli e disegni o brevetti). Possono presentare la domanda il titolare o un dipendente dell’impresa, ovvero un rappresentante esterno autorizzato.
Alla domanda devono essere allegati:
1. certificato di attribuzione della partita IVA;
2. certificato bancario
e, qualora ci si avvalga di un rappresentante esterno
3. la dichiarazione della PMI (si veda l’allegato).
Questi documenti devono essere in formato PDF.
Una volta che la domanda sia stata approvata, la PMI riceverà i voucher (entro 15 giorni lavorativi) che devono essere attivati entro un mese dalla data di ricezione (prorogabile di un ulteriore mese).
Per attivare un voucher, è necessario, dopo aver pagato i servizi di PI, compilare e presentare il modulo di richiesta di rimborso.
Entro un mese, l’EUIPO provvederà al pagamento, con accredito direttamente sul conto corrente dell’impresa.
Qualora il voucher non venga utilizzato in toto, è possibile utilizzare l’eccedenza per ulteriori servizi di PI entro 6 mesi dall’attivazione.

Intellectual Property Protection – European Fund for SMEs
From 2 February until 4 December of the current year (or until the funds are exhausted), applications may be submitted to access the funding provided by the European Fund for SMEs. This is an initiative of the European Commission, managed by EUIPO, aimed at helping small and medium-sized enterprises based in the European Union protect their intellectual property rights.
The Fund provides several vouchers that companies can use to request reimbursement for various IP-related activities, including applications for the registration of trademarks, designs, and patents.
For trademarks, designs, and models, the voucher-worth up to a maximum of €700-covers reimbursement of up to 75% of the fees for EU-level or national filings, and up to 50% of the fees for non-EU filings.
For patents, the maximum reimbursable amount is €1,000, covering up to 75% of the fees related to prior art search reports carried out or coordinated by the Italian Patent and Trademark Office (UIBM), or fees for patent pre-grant procedures (filing, search, and examination), as well as grant and publication fees for national protection in an EU Member State.
HOW TO APPLY
To submit an application, if you do not already have an account, you must first register on the EUIPO website (www.euipo.europa.eu/it).
Using this account, you can access the portal dedicated to the SME Fund (https://euipo.europa.eu/sme-fund-2026/user/login?destination=/home) to submit the relevant application (trademarks, designs and models, or patents). The application may be submitted by the owner of the business, an employee of the company, or an authorized external representative.
The following documents must be attached to the application:
- VAT registration certificate;
- bank certificate;
and, if an external representative is appointed: - the SME declaration (see attached document).
All documents must be in PDF format.
Once the application has been approved, the SME will receive the vouchers (within 15 working days), which must be activated within one month from the date of receipt (extendable by a further month).
To activate a voucher, after paying for the IP services, the reimbursement request form must be completed and submitted.
Within one month, EUIPO will process the payment, which will be credited directly to the company’s bank account.
If the voucher is not fully used, the remaining amount may be applied to additional IP services within six months from activation.
